In between, the classic day drives south to the sea lions, west to the national park for the granite dome and the arch, and back along a north or south coast bay.
Not every day follows that loop. The sea lion day swaps the far west for the north coast bays. The far-west day drops the sea lions to spend four hours in the park. The cruise days start at the tender landing, and one of them trades the parks for honey, wine and gin. Every card above says where it starts and what it covers.
Almost every day tour pays the park fees for you and feeds you. You do not queue at a visitor centre or hunt for lunch at the western end of the island, where there is little to buy. The two exceptions are the tasting shore day, which visits no park, and the private day, which asks you to confirm the fees.
The western park is about 110 km from Kingscote, much of it on quiet roads with animals on the verges. On a tour you watch the bush go by instead of the road, and you are back before dusk, when the parks service asks drivers to stay off the roads.
